Local salon, Phoenix Hair & Make Up in Abergele has made it through to the first round and into the semi-finals of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards 2017. This means that they will now go head-to-head with salons in the North West Backstage Live Final event on April 10th at Liverpool’s Rumhouse.
In the first round, hundreds of photographic images from across the country were judged by the most influential names in hairdressing including Trevor Sorbie MBE, Jamie Stevens, leading session stylist and press favourite Adam Reed and hairdressing icon Charles Worthington MBE. Phoenix Hair & Make Up fought of stiff competition and was successfully chosen to go through to the Backstage Live Finals.
The next stage will put the team through their paces, as they will now have to create a live model look that demonstrates awareness for Autumn/Winter 2017/18 hair and fashion trends, as outlined in the brief. The look must be original, modern and inspirational. The team of judges are looking for a trend-setting, show stopping total look that can inspire clients and hairdressers.
We are delighted to have been selected finalists for this prestigious competition and are putting all our efforts into our look for the evening in Liverpool, we couldn’t be happier! Pauline Heap-Williams, owner of Phoenix Hair & Make Up.
From these live events only the top four salons will go forward to compete at the L'Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final, held on 5th June in London. This stage leaves them just one step away from scooping the unparalleled prize of national media exposure, glamorous fashion shoots and much more!
