Share

Popular Welsh salon Phoenix Hair & Make Up has been shortlisted in the Micro Employer Category of the National Training and Apprenticeship Awards 2012. The awards are organised jointly by the Welsh Government and the National Training Federation.

The Apprenticeship Awards Cymru is Wales’ most prestigious awards for individuals, employers and training providers involved in the delivery of apprenticeships across Wales. With the aim of celebrating success, it is expected that the event will be attended by over 250 key stakeholders from the vocational education and training sector across Wales.

It is widely recognised that Apprenticeships combine the key elements of work experience and high quality training, which is necessary for sustained employment and high productivity, both of which are required if Welsh businesses are to compete in the ever changing global economy.

When asked about the nomination, salon owner Pauline Heap-Williams said,

To be recognised for our efforts is fantastic, as a team we are delighted. We put training at the top of our agenda and do our very best for our apprentices.

The finale is to be held on Wednesday 24th October 2012 and will highlight the outstanding achievements of learners, employers and providers involved in the delivery of apprenticeships across Wales. The awards will take place at Venue Cymru, Llandudno.
