British Hairdresser of the Year 2015 and current nominee for British Hairdresser of the Year 2017, Darren Ambrose led his Pinner salon team in a hectic show schedule at this weekend’s Salon International, the largest annual hairdressing exhibition in the UK at Docklands ExCel.
First up was the International Wella TrendVision Awards, which attracts 2,000 attendees from all around the world. Darren was chosen to present three models for a Best of British catwalk show to open proceedings; Darren also presented his interpretations of the brand’s new trends for 2018 live on stage, setting the fashion direction for all Wella salons for the coming year.
Darren also appeared on stage the following day with D&J Ambrose Global Colour Director, former British Colour Technician of the Year (and current nominee) Clayde Baumann, to give another demonstration to a more intimate crowd, while three-time Men’s Hairdresser of the Year nominee Michael Francos took to the HJ Men’s stage to talk about a variety of skills, ranging from precision cutting and session styling to advanced men’s hair techniques and colouring.
The D&J team’s newest Art Team members assisted on stage: the talented GHD style squad member, Essi Karjalainen and Sebastian CULT team member, Krista Ward.
