S J Forbes Shortlisted In Annual Awards

S J Forbes, the award-winning, independent hairdressing salon housed in the historic town of Egham, Surrey, is celebrating after being shortlisted as one of six salons in the Salon Team of the Year Award at the British Hairdressing Business Awards 2017, sponsored by Fudge Professional and hosted by Hairdressers Journal International.

With more than 25 years’ industry experience between them, Directors Hayley Gibson Forbes and Sean J McElhill established the Surrey-based S J Forbes salon on 4th July 2015. In less than two years, the salon has enjoyed unprecedented success with phenomenal growth, and has exceeded its initial business expectations. The team will go head to head with some of the industry’s major players at the grand final on Monday 11th September to find out if it can take home the Salon Team of the Year award.

The awards, which are now in their 19th year, seek to find and celebrate the very best salon businesses in the country – an industry that contributes an estimated £7bn to the British economy and one that employs more than 300,000 people.

With 17 categories celebrating all aspects of the business side of hair, the awards are a proven platform for raising a salon’s profile. Even finalising in one of the prestigious categories marks a business out as one of the finest providers in the country; a win catapults them to the very top, providing unrivalled recognition that they are at the pinnacle of their profession and raising their profile to give an edge over competitors.

The Salon Team of the Year category serves to recognise the contribution that the entire team makes to a business; from the newest assistant to the manager. It awards teams that work together, thrive together and whose teamwork impacts positively upon clients.
