Share

Schwarzkopf Professional’s Gala Weekend was a veritable feast for the senses, as over 300 hairdressers were wowed with the launch of Essential Looks: #madetocreate, blown away by the creative capabilities of the new ColorWorx and OSiS+ ranges - all before the grand final of Inspire Live.

Schwarzkopf Professional’s General Manager, Stuart Hamid promised a weekend of inspiration and excitement at The Belfry Hotel, and this was a weekend that lived up to its promise and went way beyond. Schwarzkopf Professional’s Elite Gala Weekend was the coming together of 300 Schwarzkopf Elite Accounts, immersed into an afternoon of launch after exciting launch.

It was a veritable feast for the senses with the launch of Essential Looks: #madetocreate; demonstrating the new stunning direct colour results of ColorWorx and inspiring with revolutionized (and revolutionary) styling sensation OSiS+. An inspired line-up of hairdressing talent took to the stage with head of education Stephen McDowell to showcase Schwarzkopf’s renowned trend bible Essential Looks and flex the muscles of the newly launched OSiS+ and ColorWorx. Marcus King, Charlie Taylor, Andy Smith, Kevin Kahan, Suzie McGill, Dylan Brittain and Phillip Bell delighted the audience by presenting scores of models from the Urban Sports, Free Creation and Future Wave.

The next phase of the event was set aside to celebrate team talent from across the UK with the company’s own Inspire Live finals...

A competition that gives the next generation of Schwarzkopf’s hairdressing talent their chance to shine, as Stephen McDowell put it.

15 teams from across all quarters of the UK brought their model presentations to life in front of a hugely supportive and enthusiastic 300 strong audience and a judging panel of Gemma Hensman, Hensmans; Tim Scott-Wright, The Hair Surgery and Janet Maitland, Janet Maitland Hair Excellence. The judges were diligent and robust in their duties and had deliberated to agree on four super talented duos that were crowned winners and celebrated as part of the evening event:

  • Inspire Live Grand Winner, Megan Tyma and Lauren Taylor, Hair By Kirby Blythe
  • Most Creative Colour, Cat Hood and Lewis Scrimgeour, Charlie Taylor Hair & Beauty
  • Best Presentation, Jade Miles and Susan McFadden, KJM Salons
  • One to Watch, James Taylor and Evie Hepworth, Barrie Stephen Hair

The evening’s festivities took a moment to celebrate and congratulate the exceptional hard work and dedication of all those dedicated volunteers who have been involved in Shaping Futures since the social initiative was founded in 2010, but particular celebration was saved for UK Ambassador, Janet Maitland. As the Shaping Futures ambassador, Janet has worked tirelessly to fundraise, recruit and motivate volunteers alongside giving up her own time to train and nurture young adults across the globe. The room erupted into a well-deserved standing ovation for this truly remarkable lady.

With the awards and thanks complete, in true Schwarzkopf Professional style it was time for the party to begin at the Bel Air nightclub.
