Schwarzkopf Professional’s Young Artistic Team’s Colour and PR Education

Share

Schwarzkopf Professional’s Young Artistic Team spent two days at the Billi Currie salon in London, improving their colour skills and learning how to become their own PR with the help of some very special guests.

Day one was all about colour with colour genius Carolyn Newman. Covering everything from how to find inspiration to developing it into something new and exciting, Carolyn gave the team insight into what it takes to be a top colourist. It wasn’t all chat, with the team getting the chance to work on models to create their own colour techniques, letting their inspirations run wild.

Day two was all about PR, profile building and social media. The team enjoyed sessions throughout the day from Laura Glazebrook at LWPR, session stylist Nick Irwin, Fellowship ambassador Errol Douglas MBE and Rachael Gibson, producer at Mastered. Covering everything from trade magazines and climbing the industry ladder, to utilizing the Fellowship to its full advantage and turning your Instagram into your hairdressing portfolio, the team learnt everything there is to know about making a name for themselves and being the best that they can be once their year on the Young Artistic Team comes to an end.

Team mentor Jamie Farrar from Schwarzkopf Professional says,

The team were thoroughly inspired by all of their guests! They are even more excited now to continue their hairdressing journey.

What an eye opener! says team member Bevan Scott Clark from Hooker & Young, I never thought I could learn so much in one day. Now it’s time to make it all happen…
