As 2019 draws to a close, we asked some of our members what were the highlights of their year. Many have achieved more in the last 12 months than they ever imagined like members, Simon Webster Hair in Brighton, who are not only mentors, ambassadors and session stylists, but the salon is one of the busiest and coolest in Brighton! Here Sophie Webster shares her thoughts on one of her team's busiest years!

2019 was a fantastic and incredibly busy year for Simon Webster Hair. Our Brand Ambassador completed her year with the Fellowship for British Hairdressing's F.A.M.E. Team 2019... One of our Senior Stylists became a KMS Style Ambassador… One became a Goldwell Color Creative… Simon and the SWH Art team styled onstage as guest artists across four different brands… Two more of SWH's Team have become official UK Educators… We mentored fellow stylists as part of the Shu Squad… We worked backstage at Fashion Weeks in London, Milan and Paris… We shot two Art Team collections… Our work featured in Hairdressers Journal, Tribute Magazine, Creative Head, Salon Business, Salon Focus and Pro Hairdresser Magazine… We collaborated with Good Salon Guide to host an International Women’s Day event… We hosted art exhibitions and sponsored award-winning shows for Brighton Fringe… We became an official Safe Space and Pride City Angel… Client numbers increased… Our L3 Apprentices graduated to become kick-ass stylists… Our team grew in size… We had a salon refit… The Postman created two bespoke artworks for the salon frontage… We took part in the Lord Mayor’s Procession… Simon cycled London to Paris with hair industry colleagues in aid of Bloodwise… And we celebrated with a fabulous client event and team party, followed by a two-week break!

We’ll be back the 2nd January, ready to take on even more personal and professional adventures in 2020!
