Siobhan Baynes Creates On-Trend Braids for Mary Charteris

Mary Charteris showed off her fashion credentials last night whilst DJ’ing at the Elle Style Awards, by rocking her half-up half-down do, beautifully created by Siobhan Baynes, Senior Stylist at Paul Edmonds, Knightsbridge. Known for her luxurious, glamorous styles, Siobhan was an obvious choice for Mary, who trusted the talented stylist with her gorgeous locks!
Mary asked me last minute to go to her house to create a cool edgy look to go with her Dolce & Gabbana cloaked outfit for the Elle Style Awards. She wanted something off her face and on-trend, so we both decided to go with plaits, and we loved the idea of having different sizes for more texture and edge.
First off I did the middle French braid and then the two sides, which were smaller and tighter to add definition to the face. I pinned both sides down and let the back of the hair fall over the top. We wanted to keep it half-up half-down, so I tonged the back of the hair adding L'Oreal Techni Art Beach Spray for extra texture and ‘beachyness’. I then finished the look off with a spray of L'Oreal Infiniment Hairspray to hold it in place for when she was rocking behind the DJ Booth. Siobhan Baynes, Paul Edmonds
