SJ Forbes ‘Give It A Go’ at Freshers’ Week Event

S J Forbes, the award-winning, independent hairdressing salon, has hosted a pop-up salon at the annual Royal Holloway ‘Give it A Go’ event for freshers’ week.

‘Give it A Go’ is part of a packed programme of events designed to introduce students to university life. The youngsters can explore the campus, meet new friends, and find out more about the local businesses and places of interest in the area.

Two stylists from the SJ Forbes team were on hand to offer complimentary colour consultations, skin tests, and hair tutorials to the eager students.

Each of the students were then given a goody bag to take home full of promotional vouchers for the salon, KMS mini shampoo and conditioner, as well as lots of yummy treats. 

Those who wanted to learn more were then invited to the salon for an exclusive ‘Hair Masterclass’, where they were given hair advice, live demonstrations and styling tips on creating some of the most on-trend hairstyles at home.

The pop-up salon was a great success and our stylists were super busy all day. It was fantastic to meet so many of the new students and offer them advice on how to style their hair. It is so important that they feel good about themselves and feel confident during this exciting chapter in their lives. We look forward to welcoming them to the salon soon.
