Strands Hairdressing Brings Braiding Glamour to Portsmouth

On Wednesday 22nd May, multi-award-winning salon Strands Hairdressing in Hill Head hosted a festival style braiding evening for 40 members of the local community to celebrate the launch of their exclusive Braiding Menu.

With 16 of Strands' dedicated staff on hand to distribute Pimms and mini cupcakes to the guests, Strands' founder Pauline Howe kicked off proceedings by welcoming everyone before Artistic Director Kelly Scott explained why braids are set to be a big festival trend this summer.

The talented team then performed tutorials for each of Strands' six new signature braids (which cost £20 each) before the audience had the chance to try out the styles for themselves. With the choice between the Elegant Braided Bun, Waterfall Braid, Fishtail Plait, Hollywood Hair Band, Halo Braid and French Plait, each guest left rocking their very own braided look, perfect for that summer wedding or music festival. What's more, each attendee was treated to a goody bag packed full of sweets, Redken minis and a GHD Roll Matt to help coif their style at home.
