Strands Host Great Pink Bake Off

Share

Award-winning Portsmouth based salon group Strands Hairdressing hosted a cake-tastic Mad Hatters Tea Party in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer on Friday 18th October. Strands’ stylists from both their Whiteley and Hill Head branches donned aprons for the occasion to whip up a batch of tasty cupcakes, doughnuts and pink puddings to tempt their clients into parting with their cash in the name of charity.

Not only did the team turn their hairdressing talents to baking, but each of their 16 stylists got into the fundraising spirit by slipping into fancy dress to make the event even more memorable. The fundraising feats didn’t stop there as both salons organised a charity raffle with a pair of pink diamond ghd stylers up for grabs for one lucky winner, helping to raise vital funds for the worthy cause.

The raffle will run until the end of October but the team have already raised over £600 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, which funds almost 25 per cent of the UK's breast cancer research.

Strands Hairdressing Founder Pauline Howe said,

I’m so proud of my team for joining forces to raise much needed funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. It’s a cause close to our hearts and we’re so thankful to all of our clients for digging deep!
