As everything is starting to reopen and spring has sprung, Teresa Weller of Teresa Weller HairArt had the pleasure of creating the hair and working on yet another music video for beautiful local Surrey girl, Talia Dean of The Kings Daughters, produced by Brain May.

Talia’s band, The Kings Daughters formed in the first lockdown and have released four singles all charting in the UK and American charts and with two number one successes. This latest single, Nemesis, just reached number one in the UK iTunes soundtrack chart, and was released just ahead of the British movie, Nemesis - out this week on Amazon.

For the video, which was shot just around the corner from Teresa’s Dorking salon at The Queen’s Head pub, Teresa created a London street vibe high ponytail full of attitude for Talia’s beautiful long locks. This was a very different look from the last video, Dancing in the Rain, where Teresa created a soft ethereal forest fairy feel for the band’s hair. Teresa has been in her element creating these very different looks using her brand favourites including extensions and hairpieces from Rapture, Revlon Style Masters, and Hot Tools Pro.

Even though it has been such a difficult year with the salon closing three times and with no Pride in London last year, I have just loved creating Talia’s hair for her videos. We met on a shoot for Surrey life magazine styled by Surrey frills, and I was honoured when she asked me to do her hair for her videos. Her hair is long, thick, and dense and so beautiful to work with – it has been so awesome creating her looks. I am in love with her voice as well, she has such talent, and I cannot wait to create more hair for her in the next chapter when the world reopens.
