Hairdressing’s royalty gathered for the most exciting industry event of the year on Monday 7th September, as Creative HEAD magazine crowned its Most Wanted and The It List award winners at a star studded ceremony hosted by comedy genius, Jack Whitehall at the iconic Natural History Museum, London.

An audience of 600 hair, fashion and media VIPs, including session icon Sam McKnight and Vogue Beauty Editor Lauren Murdoch-Smith, came together to celebrate as the UK’s most exceptional hair professionals and teams were named Most Wanted winners, and six exciting new stars, aged 30 and under, were placed on The It List.

This year marks Most Wanted’s 15th anniversary, so there was an even bigger cause for celebration. With talent at every table, the atmosphere was electric as each winner, including freelance stylist Kim Rance, who picked up ‘THE IT GIRL’ title, Luke Benson from D&J Ambrose, London, who won “THE IT GUY’, globally respected hairdresser Guido, who received the Most Wanted ‘SESSION STYLIST’ accolade, and Adam Reed, who was named ‘HAIR ICON’, picked up their trophies to rapturous applause.

Widely considered the coolest and most credible in the industry, Creative HEAD’s awards attract entries from hundreds of salons and stylists across the UK, and are judged by highly respected experts from the worlds of hair, fashion, business and the media. This year’s winners will enjoy a year-long programme of print and online editorial coverage in Creative HEAD magazine, with priceless profiling to maximise their achievements. As well as receiving a coveted trophy, IT LIST winners will attend a bespoke trends workshop, courtesy of IT LIST sponsor, ghd, while the Most Wanted winners will receive an exclusive prize courtesy of their award category sponsors.

After a fantastic evening under the awe-inspiring canopy of Dippy the famous dinosaur, cocktails and dinner were followed by partying into the early hours, with hairdressing’s hottest crowd hailing this year’s event as the most spectacular yet. Catherine Handcock, Publisher, Creative HEAD, said,

Creative HEAD’s Most Wanted and It List awards are a party like no other – a night to celebrate the most exciting trend-setters and game-changers in the world of hair. Keep an eye out for this year’s winners – they’re going to be massively influential in the coming years.
