Sunday 13th September saw one-off #OpenChairNight take place at Central St Martin’s in London, as part on an event titled ‘The Crafts’. Less noisy than Hair Club Live’s usual venue, the aim was to build awareness of Hair Club Live for more than 700 visitors.

A calm affair, The Crafts event aimed to appreciate all forms of craftsmanship and encourage people to view hairdressing as an art form.

Shelley Pengilly's look was inspired by a vintage rose garden, where she created a tower of braids and flowers combining different textures using Kapello hair extensions. The model’s hair was coloured using milk_shake Creative Reds, with a mix of direct colour cocktails. The model’s porcelain skin suited the English rose theme perfectly. Make-up artist, Jessica Verity decided to keep the make-up dewy and subtle.

The Crafts was an incredibly unique event with a live gallery of creative professionals, from fine artists and sculptors to Origami experts and hairstylists.
