The Sassoon Scholarship provides one successful applicant with an incredible education opportunity, built around the world-famous Sassoon Academy courses. The 2020 recipient will be able to choose two in person courses, as well as two online courses, tailored to their own specific career journey. On top of this, they will receive a professional toolkit from Denman, who also provide a financial contribution towards travel and accommodation costs. Kim said:
I’m still completely in shock that I am this year’s winner. Vidal Sassoon has always been a massive influence in my career, so I’m very proud to be chosen as this year’s winner. Being a massive hair geek, I always want to develop and learn new styles and skills and I am looking forward to absolutely everything this scholarship has to offer me. I can't wait to bring everything I learn back to Anglesey, to fulfil my passion of educating others and providing a totally different hairdressing experience for my clients. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and cannot thank Sassoon, the Fellowship, and Denman enough for supporting this fabulous scholarship each year.

The Sassoon Scholarship is such an incredible opportunity, which is evident by the number of people who applied. It was so great to see Kim win, as someone who had previously applied and listened to the feedback she received. She went away, worked hard and came back ready. It is always lovely to see people grow through these processes and that’s exactly what we saw with Kim. I’m excited to see her continue to grow through the Scholarship, and beyond. - Fellowship Chancellor, Ashleigh Hodges
