The Fellowship Launch Trevor Sorbie Award

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing have launched a brand-new award – The Trevor Sorbie Award for Creative & Commerical Innovation. The award is a recognition and celebration of the wealth of creativity, innovation and commercial success that is British hairdressing.

Trevor Sorbie MBE has been recognised as one of the most influential hairdressers of his time and continues to be a huge influence on the creative work of the industry. The award is an ongoing legacy to celebrate individuals that continue that ever forward creative and commercial process. Trevor is proud to launch this award within the Fellowship Awards. Trevor's iconic quote “be bold, be different, but always in good taste” is a challenge to our industry and experienced hairdressers, to continue to be creative and rise to the challenge of making it a commercial success.

The Trevor Sorbie Award officially launches on the 18th September and the closing date is Friday 27th October at 5.00pm. Entry is open to Fellowship Members and Non-members and the winner will be announced at the Fellowship Luncheon & Hair Awards on Monday 4th December 2023. There are no age restrictions, but the award is aimed at experienced hairdressers. No AI generated imagery or wording can be used.

How to enter

• Watch the video of Trevor explaining the award
• Submit a resume of your career to date
• Upload 4 hair images created between September 2022 – October 2023. They do not need to be from a collection or theme. One image must be included in your video.

MP4 video max 5 min to include:

• An introduction about you
• Examples of the process relating to one of the 4 images submitted and the finished look that was photographed
• No stills
