The Fellowship Masters Inspire at Glasgow Masterclass

Share

The Fellowship held their Glasgow Masterclass on the evening of Monday 27th March at the Drygate in Glasgow.

Scotland’s biggest hairdressing names came together along with over 150 audience members to create a remarkable line-up and to celebrate each other’s talent and hair work, hosted by past President Bruno Marc and compered by Chancellor Karine Jackson.

Drygate in the heart of Glasgow was the perfect location for this exciting event. A brewery and a unique event space, Drygate gave the show an underground and edgy atmosphere which seemed to be reflected in the work of our masters as there was a noticeable grungy theme, along with perfect pastels, choppy crops and scalp braids. Taking to the Fellowship’s stage armed with their kit bags and models were Gillian Stolley from Toni&Guy, Joe Rawsthorne from Cheynes Hairdressing, Diana Carson from Rainbow Room International, Cat Nicholson from Charlie Miller, Sophie Laidlaw from Wonderland, Paul Paterson from Ishi Salon, Bruce Masefield and Colin McAndrew from Medusa.

Fellowship ambassador Errol Douglas MBE also made a special trip up to Glasgow for the event to support The Fellowship and take in the talent in Scotland.

Jennifer Cheyne OBE was the special guest of the night, taking the stage for a live interview with Bruno on her hairdressing career, motivation and managing her employees. She spoke with passion about how her team’s focus and determination really inspires her.

As a previous fellowship President, she added that,

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing is such a brilliant organisation as we can expand our knowledge and it’s a great platform for education and stage work.

As an organisation promoting acclaimed creative excellence, the Fellowship representatives explained the career-long benefits associated with Fellowship membership whilst putting on an entertaining, informative and inspiring show where the Scottish audience enthralled from beginning to end, finishing with a champagne reception.

The Glasgow Masterclass was absolutely excellent, says Bruno, the models looked exceptional and the thought that had gone into the make-up and styling was just amazing. A fantastic night had by all!
