Share

Applications for 2017’s Fellowship Scholarship have officially launched. Each year, just one talented rising star is chosen to win the Scholarship - a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The Fellowship Scholarship in association with Sassoon Academy and sponsored by Denman, is an intensive four week course focussing on developing the hairdressing skills needed to perform in today’s competitive salon environment.

Hosted by The Sassoon Creative Team, the winner will be educated in cutting and colouring hair the Sassoon way, as well as how to build their industry profile with the support from a PR team.

The scholarship includes:

  • ABC Cut Course (11.9.17 – 15.9.17)
  • Sassoon Blondes Course (25.9.17 – 27.9.17)
  • ABC Men Course (2.10.17 – 6.10.17)
  • Salon Creative course (30.10.17 – 03.11.17)

The very lucky winner will receive a professional tool roll and can claim up to £50 per working day towards their travel and accommodation costs, courtesy of Denman International, as well as PR profiling through The Fellowship media platforms. The applicant must have a minimum of four years’ experience on the salon floor and must be a Fellowship member or work in a Fellowship member salon. You’ll need to have a strong foundation in haircutting and be able to take a four-week sabbatical with the full support of your employer.

To apply, you must fill out an application form, along with your employer, which is available to download from The Fellowship website. You must also upload a 30 second video to Instagram with the hashtag #Fellowshipscholarship to wow the judges by telling them about yourself and how the Scholarship could benefit you and others in your team.

Last year’s winner was Cileste Rogers from Be My Guest Salon in Southsea. Reflecting on her four weeks she said,

I had the best time of my life and learnt so much. I have to be honest, when I was given my diploma I almost cried! It was the best experience ever.

The entry deadline is Friday 26th May 2017
