Share

Hair industry golfers from a mix of hair salons, manufacturers and distributors, donned their golf clubs to support the industry’s official charity - The Hairdressers’ Charity (THC) – to help raise over £6,900 for the annual Golf Day fundraiser.

The 30 strong group of golfers was hosted again at Dalmahoy Golf Course, the event was kindly organised by THC committee member Peter Belcher with the support from the event main sponsor, OSMO.

The winners on the day were:

  • Longest Drive: John O’Rourke
  • Nearest the Pin: Graeme Thomson
  • Winning Team: ghd
  • Individual Overall Winner: Wayne Blackburn

To raise additional funds on the day, golf holes across the course were sponsored by Peter Belcher, Phlilip Rogers, Rainbow Room, Hair & Beauty World, Charlie Miller, UNITE, Creightons, AJC93, Hairdressers Journal International and Alan Howard.

Following a successful day on the course, the guests were treated to a three-course meal and a raffle that included prizes of an overnight stay at Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club, a round of golf at Dalmahoy, electricals from ghd, and golf shop vouchers. Guests were also treated to a goody bag kindly donated by the OSMO team.

We had a great turn out this year as we continue to raise awareness of The Hairdressers’ Charity and funds for hairdressers in need. It’s a great location to play golf and everyone involved enjoyed both playing whilst raising money for this worthwhile cause. - Organiser and charity supporter, Peter Belcher
