Entrepreneur Julie Marino’s background in the hospitality industry helped turn Active Hotels (one of the first hotel online booking companies in the UK) into a global success, which is now Booking.com.
Julie will share her fascinating story of how she used her background in the hospitality industry to help develop the concept and phenomena of online bookings, working with a group of geeky tech-freaks and securing big names to sign-up in order for other hotel groups to follow and buy-into the idea.
Julie went on to later help develop Hostelmania before diversifying into creating a successful teeth whitening franchise. She’s now working on her new project of creating a website and media platform around etiquette, manners and old-fashioned social graces.
Join us to listen to Julie’s fascinating journey. We’ll explore how the online booking concept is being tailored in our industry too. The evening will include drinks, nibbles and the chance to win an array of fabulous beauty products worth over £300 in our prize draw on the night.
We look forward to seeing you there!
