Hundreds of stylists and therapists partied the night away as The News Hair and Beauty Awards, which were sponsored by the Good Salon Guide amongst others, made a return to the Portsmouth Guildhall on Saturday 6th July.
Glam and gorgeous were the orders of the night, as the best of the hair and beauty industry attended the most prestigious awards around.
This year, The News Hair and Beauty Awards proved to be bigger than ever with a total of 14 categories. Tony Wood, who owns Tony Wood Hair, which is in association with the awards, said,
The night was the best yet, an amazing evening. Hairdressers work really hard to make people feel good, and these awards are about recognising the hard work they put in every day.
A range of awards were presented to the best salons, stylists, beauticians and therapists in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. Tony Wood said,
The Awards recognise and celebrate the hard work and talent of all the people involved in our industry. For me it's especially about supporting and recognising the young people that are new to the industry and encouraging and inspiring them.
