The Olympic Torch took a pit stop at HOB Salons last week when loyal client and official torch bearer Talya Jacobson popped in for a blow dry with her favourite branch, HOB Temple Fortune.

Talya who attends the local Kisharon School, was chosen as a Torch Bearer for the London 2012 Olympics earlier this year due to her outstanding contribution to charity. No stranger to athletics, Talya has raised over £60,0000 in her life through participating in numerous events such as the Eilat triathlon.

Wanting to look and feel amazing for the big day, Talya booked in for a blow dry to see her tresses transformed and brought with her one of 8,000 official Olympic torches that she was to carry.

Talya had meningitis at birth which caused extensive damage to her brain and has resulted in her having cerebral palsy, a severe visual impairment, epilepsy and learning difficulties. Despite her challenges, everyone who knows her says that she has an enviable zest for life and is an inspiration to others!

Speaking on the visit Temple Fortune Manager Simon Barker said,

Talya is a very important client to us and when we heard she had been chosen to carry the Olympic torch we were delighted for her. It was a great surprise when she brought the torch into the salon and she created a great buzz amongst the team and passersby who all stopped to look at the torch. We pride ourselves on our client relations and it was great that we could share this with her and make her look and feel great.
