The Schwarzkopf Professional European Essential Looks Show

Share

Set in the beautiful Grade II-listed Art Deco venue, the Troxy, London welcomed over 1000 hairdressers from across Europe for the Schwarzkopf Professional European Essential Looks show.

It was an evening to celebrate the latest SS17 Essential Looks collection, as well as hairdressing legends and Schwarzkopf Professional ambassadors taking to the stage to bring to life 2017’s biggest hair trends and recent launches – BlondMe and OSIS+ Session Label.

Welcomed by UK General Manager Stuart Hamid and International Creative Director Simon Ellis, the evening got off to an incredible start with a cabaret opener. Stuart Hamid said,

We’re so excited to welcome you all from all across Europe to London! Essential Looks is all about supporting you, our salons, so you can offer the most up-to-date trends and services possible to improve your business and fire creativity.

Hooker & Young kick started the evening in the only way they could - with a very British inspired show. A fusion of their Made in England collection which ‘celebrates the individual’ and the new BlondMe iconic looks and colours. Models were channelling 70’s vibes in both the hairstyling and clothing and the dynamic duo inspired the crowd with a non-stop showcase of beautiful blondes.

Kim Vo put on a hugely entertaining show that had the crowd laughing from start to finish. As ‘Hollywood’s best blonder’ his show celebrated the ‘Ultimate Blonde’. Showcasing a whole new colour application technique from the BlondMe range, Kim talked us through the power of ‘lacing’ which ‘modernises the ombre’ trend for a more natural finish and ultimately the best blonde you can get.

The Bundy Bundy artistic team showcased some incredible avant-garde hairstyling. Their show, ‘The Powder of Blondes’ was a show dedicated to their interpretation of the sirens of Greek mythology. Reflected throughout the hairstyling, hair was inspired by the strong independent woman.

Creators of the pixelated colour trend, X-presion brought exactly that to the show. Intricate and ingenious colour placement allowed for some gorgeous graphic balayage and a transitional graphic fringe. The creative team then went on to demonstrate the stunning work of un-braiding and braiding hair for the utterly enthralled audience.

A fabulous finale was thanks to International Creative Director Simon Ellis, Global Styling Ambassador Tyler Johnston and Global Colour Ambassador Lesley Jennison presenting this season’s Essential Looks Collection – Modern Ikon. Tyler took to the stage to bring to life key looks from each of the trends - Opulent, Beat Icon and Colorama. Lesley Jennison talked through the colours for each of the trends with both talking about key product ranges for this collection – IGORA Opulescence, OSIS+ Session Label and Colorworx.

Head of Education, Stephen McDowell closed the show inviting all artists back on stage with their incredible models for a spectacular ending. All in all, with six shows, 36 models and over 1000 hairdressers from 15 countries, it made for one epic European Essential Looks evening.
