It’s official; the #NewEraOfArtisticTeam has been revealed with an exclusive and creative gathering at uber cool East London members club, The Kings Head.

The brainchild of Craig Chapman and Ashleigh Hodges, Hairdotcom brings together talented hairdressers from across the globe, no matter what salon or brand they work for.

As Hairdotcom ambassador, Errol Douglas kicked off proceedings, with The Voice opera singers, Belle Voci providing a dramatic backdrop to incredible hair work from the team. Headed up by Craig and Ashleigh, the newly announced Hairdotcom also includes:

  • Matthew Gavin
  • Ria Kulik
  • Laura Kulik
  • Miranda Elmer
  • Alistair Jubbs
  • Rebecca Wilcox

In front of the amazed audience and following a showcase of 14 looks being created on two models in 20 minutes, (showcasing exactly what it means to collaborate by all taking it in turns to work on the models together), Dom Lehane took to the floor to interview the team.

So what exactly is Hairdotcom?

As Craig Chapman says,

Our core values are well-being and collaboration. This is all about team work and creating something amazing together, whatever that may be! Whether it’s working backstage on a TV show, to advertising campaigns and with celebrities at the major award events, our team is made up of a melting pot of creatives from hair, stylists, photography and well-being experts.

The team work on everything from education for brands such as Redken, Matrix and ghd, to TV work for The Voice. They also cover celebrity hair and make-up for the Emmys, Cannes Film Festival, Broadway and the West End, as well as beauty campaigns and editorial work.

And it’s not just the creative work that Hairdotcom will be focusing on; there is also a big education element to the brand. Teaching everything from the perfect foil placement to wig work for creatives and health care, and from colour trends to men’s hair to Avant Garde and well-being retreat days.

Whatever is required by the industry we can provide, whether it is for salon teams, corporate events or show work, Hairdotcom has it covered! We’re all about being inclusive, from the fact that anyone can be on the team from anywhere, to not being affiliated with any one brand, which means we can work with everyone on both an education side and creatively too. We believe in collaborating and giving back to the industry in so many ways, one of those being our collaboration with The Hairdressers’ Charity. With 5% of every place sold on our courses going straight back into our industry’s charity, as a team we are here for every hairdresser. We are here to start a revolution, but we are including everyone in it! – Ashleigh Hodges
