Hugh Campbell is delighted to announce that all three of their teams that recently qualified for the L’Oreal Colour Trophy semi-finals have made it through to the grand final of the prestigious L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards. Congratulations to Melo Yelo, River Hair Studio and Marbles Hair & Beauty… three really is the magic number.

Hairdressers from salons all over the country went head-to-head displaying their creative talents at the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2017 semi-final event in the O’Reilly Hall, UCD, Dublin. Each was vying for a place in the grand final of the 51st L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards, which takes place at O’Reilly Hall on Monday 3rd July. Entering its 51st year, the L’Oréal Colour Trophy is the world’s longest running live hairdressing competition. The awards, which honour the brightest hairdressing talents across the country, involve the biggest icons in the industry and showcase all that is loved about hair colour, trends and fashion.

There are three competitive categories including the L’Oréal Men’s Image Award, the Star Award and the highly coveted L’Oréal Colour Trophy. Each requires the teams to create an inspirational modern hair colour and style on a model that must be complemented by the total look taking inspiration from contemporary fashion trends.

The judging panel at all stages of the competition features some of the highest profiled names in the international hairdressing industry. The semi-final was judged by Siobhan Jones (Headmasters), Nathan Walker (Trevor Sorbie), Mark Woolley (Electric Hairdressing), Chris Williams (Rush) and Alan Edwards (Alan Edwards).
