Situated in the courtyard, Lewis Road in the heart of Killarney town, the Academy offers both full and part time Diploma courses as well as a series of beginner courses and tailored short courses aimed at those in the industry wishing to refresh or up-skill their knowledge and techniques.
Enrollment is now open and the 12 month ITEC Hairdressing Diploma course commences on October 1st, with the 18 month part time TEC Hairdressing Diploma Course commencing on January 7th 2014. A part time course in Barbering also commences on October 1st. There are flexible course payment packages available. Aisling Madigan is cofounder, director and head tutor at the academy. She qualified in 2002 and has been with the Sean Taaffe Group since 2006. The Academy opened in September 2011. Aisling is highly trained having completed her Colour Masters in 2013, achieving the highest score of her class. She is currently completing her business masters. Her work has featured in many hairdressing and fashion magazines and her front cover work recently won the salons ‘Front of House Media Competition’. She was a key member of the creative team for the prestigious Alfaparf Pure Illusions nationwide road show. Her passion for all aspects of hairdressing makes her the perfect person to mentor students and to guide them on their career from the beginning.
