Sports Massage is a massage that involves the manipulation of soft tissue for people who are engaged in regular physical activities. Sports massage helps prevent, improve, and heal injuries.
The massage is normally performed on 1 or 2 body parts at a time and is not to be compared to a relaxing massage.
Sports massage has lots of benefits including:
- Increased joint range of motion (ROM)
- Increased flexibility
- Increased sense of well-being
- Decreased muscle tension
- Decreased neurological excitability (nerves more relaxed)
- Decreased muscle spasms
- Better sleep
The Sports Massage course is for students who would like to upgrade their knowledge and specialize in this therapy. The course is blended which means the theory is completed online and the practical lessons conducted in our training centre in Dubai.
The pre-requisite for enrolment is a level 3 diploma or certificate in either anatomy, physiology, and pathologies or anything equivalent.
