Vidal Sassoon Academy introduces ‘INTERFERENCE’, the new Spring/Summer collection for 2026.

Interference is a conceptual hair collection that repositions hair as structure rather than embellishment. Inspired by the design philosophy of Yohji Yamamoto, ‘deconstruction of the essential’, the collection embraces resistance, imperfection, and anti-ornamentation as creative principles.

Hair is treated as material: capable of obscuring, fragmenting and destabilising form. Through irregular silhouettes, asymmetry and controlled disorder, the collection creates a visual language that resists immediacy and clarity. Referencing principles of Op Art, directional partings, fractured lines, and strategic placement across the face generate optical tension and visual instability, causing the eye to continually adjust.
