The hard work, dedication and commitment shown by learners from Central Hairdressing Academy were rewarded at the company’s annual awards night.
Central Hairdressing Academy deliver award-winning education in hairdressing to learners from across the South East Essex who either attend the Academy’s Southend based training centres or are trained in-salon. They also deliver training in London via the Joshua Galvin Academy.
This year’s awards ceremony, held at the Arlington Function Suite and Ballroom in Leigh-on-Sea, saw 95 learners gain National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ’s) and Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQ’s). And 169 learners gained an apprenticeship in Level 2 and 3 - a record number.
Alongside the certificates handed out to all achievers, several special awards were made by tutors to learners who achieved outstanding success and embraced the many challenges they faced.
Keryl Titmus, Curriculum Manager, Central Training Group, praised all the learners but added that special award-winners should feel particularly proud of their success. She said,
What all our special award-winners shared was a commitment to helping and supporting their fellow learners. This attitude will stand them in good stead in the workplace.
For Martin Kolton, MBE, Chairman, Central Training Group, the thorough training the young stylists have gained means they are ready to take on any challenges in the work place. He added,
Our learners are always very excited about starting their careers. Our industry continues to offer a wealth of opportunities that allows talented and ambitious hairdressers to fulfil a range of aspirations.
