York’s No.1 hair salon, Ross Charles Hairdressing has finalised for Creative Salon of the Year at the 2020 Salon Business Awards. The salon was selected as a finalist amongst hundreds of other entrants after submitting an editorial image and explanation of the creative process behind it.

The Salon Business Awards are arranged by one of the most prestigious hairdressing trade magazines, Salon Business, and the awards recognise only the best talent in the industry from across the UK, which includes stylists, salons and salon group.

The judging panel for these fiercely contested awards know the industry inside out and include award-winning hairdressers, salon owners and product manufacturers. For Yorkshire salon, Ross Charles Hairdressing to be handpicked by these judges as one of the eight finalists for the Creative salon category is an incredible achievement. Each of the finalists in all categories is also an automatic finalist for the Salon Business Awards highest accolade – the Ultimate Salon of the Year. Presented to the salon that shines across the board there is an award for a small to medium salon and a large salon, based on the salon’s turnover.

As part of the awards entry, Ross Charles was required to submit an image that best represents the salon brand and explain the creative process behind the image. A creative and fashion forward look was submitted for this. Being awarded for the salon's imagery is not something unknown to them, as Ross Charles is a previous finalist for the British Hairdressing Awards. Owner of the salon, Ross Charles, commented:

It is such an honour to have finalised for the Salon Business awards again this year. To be recognised for my creative talent is a great feeling and I can’t wait for the grand final later this year.
