Beginners Classic Course NVQ Level 2 and Nicky Oliver Diploma + Level 2 Barbering
Level 2 Duration: 26 weeks (2 days per week) / 18 weeks (3 days per week) 
Experience: None required
Qualification: NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing, Nicky Oliver Diploma and Level 2 Barbering
Fee: £8,500.00 + VAT 20% (£10,200.00 in total) 

The Nicky Oliver Hairdressing Academy Beginners Course is an intensive, practical hairdressing course designed to cater for students with little or no knowledge of the hairdressing profession. Delivered over two or three days each week, you will learn basic and up-to-date hairdressing skills along with the theory and technical knowledge required to become a professional stylist. Classes are small to ensure each individual receives the correct amount of training according to their individual needs, and guarantees direction and support throughout the training. It also allows for the personal requirements of each student to be recognised very quickly, meaning you are taught accordingly.

The aim of this hairdressing course is to enable you to become a professional working stylist of a high standard. You will be continually assessed throughout the hairdressing course and will be working towards gaining your NVQ Level 2 and the Nicky Oliver Academy Diploma in Hairdressing + Level 2 Barbering. Students must reach the minimum standards required to qualify for the Nicky Oliver Hairdressing Diploma.

Your age and experience is immaterial. Your enthusiasm, an interest in the profession and your willingness to change your career, along with our proven hairdressing training course methods, which are delivered in a relaxed and friendly environment, will ensure that you progress towards gaining your hairdressing qualification. In our last official inspection report The Nicky Oliver Hairdressing Academy was rated as having excellent hairdressing training practices, excellent model base, excellent hairdressing training facilities and a very good range of products.

Duration: 36 weeks (three days per week)

Qualification: NVQ Level 2+3, NVQ Level 3 and Nicky Oliver Diploma
Fee: £15,000 + VAT @ 20% (£18,000.00 in total)

The Nicky Oliver Hairdressing Academy Combined NVQ Level 2 & 3, plus Nicky Oliver Hairdressing Diploma Beginners course is an intensive, practical course, designed to cater for students with little or no knowledge of the hairdressing profession.

For the first half of the hairdressing course, which is delivered over three days each week, you will learn basic and up-to-date hairdressing skills along with the theory and technical knowledge required to become a professional stylist. Once completed, you will move onto the next level and learn more advanced techniques taking hairdressing to a higher level.  

All the hairdressing classes are kept intentionally small to ensure guaranteed direction and support  throughout your training and also allows for each student’s personal requirements to be recognised very quickly, meaning  you are  taught accordingly. Training courses can also be tailor-made to suit your personal needs.

The aim of this hairdressing course is to enable you to become a professional working stylist of a high standard with a more in-depth understanding and experience of the hairdressing profession. You will be continually assessed throughout the course and will be working towards gaining your NVQ Level 2, Level 3 and the Nicky Oliver Academy Diploma in Hairdressing. Students must reach the minimum standards required to qualify for the Nicky Oliver Diploma.

Men’s Hairdressing in the UK is huge! Year on year the growth in this area of the market has been significant. However, the training for men’s hairdressing has not kept up with this increase in demand. In fact most of the training courses on offer exclusively cover ladies hairdressing and totally disregard the men, whilst others just offer token training. In fact many young hairdressers are qualifying at NVQ Level 2 without having done any training at all in men’s hairdressing! This is obviously not good for the hairdresser, the salon and of course the male client.

Nicky Oliver believes it is time to take men’s hairdressing training much more seriously and give it the professionalism that this major area of the hairdressing market deserves.For this reason he has introduced a Level 2 Barbering Course, which is aimed at anyone who wants to become a barber or wishes to add to their current hairdressing qualifications, making them an asset to any salon.

Cutting facial hair to shape
Drying and finishing
Promoting services/products to clients 

The course will equip students with more than barbering and hairdressing skills. It will increase their confidence and improve their knowledge, skills and techniques.
