The Academy of Hair

The Academy of Hair is a training facility that provides City & Guilds_ NVQ qualifications. This includes completing Functional Skills Levels 1 and 2. The modern training centres are located at St Johns and Addlestone in Surrey.

_To benefit you the academy also sends dedicated tutors to your salon to deliver training where necessary. The Academy of Hair has an excellent success rate for all students wishing to launch their hairdressing career.

NQV Barbering Level 2

NVQ Level 2 is your starting point to your barbering future. _

Dry and finish men's hair
Create basic patterns

Optional units you will need to choose to complete your qualification:
Perm and neutralise hair
Change men's hair colour
Fulfill salon reception duties 

NQV Barbering Level 3

NVQ Level 3 is to advance your barbering skills.

Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
Promote additional services or products to clients
Design and create a range of facial hair shapes
Creatively cut hair using a combination of barbering techniques
Provide shaving services

Colour hair using a variety of techniques
Provide colour correction services
Develop and enhance your creative barbering
