An extension of the fashion collection, the hairstyles reflected a mystical and witchy aura that cohesively fit the Druid-inspired runway collection.
“A lot of the collection has movement – as the models are walking, they pick up air in these ventilation pockets, and the clothing expands almost like a superhero. We wanted that movement to continue into the hair as an extension of the overall look, dynamic and witchy,” said Holli.
To achieve the hair looks for this show, natural short texture was accentuated using nutriplenish™ leave-in conditioner which was thoughtfully applied to enhance radiance and definition while providing hydration. All hair was prepped with Aveda scalp solutions refreshing protective mist, providing a fresh and revitalized foundation for long-lasting style.
For straight hair, Aveda pure abundance™ style prep™ was meticulously applied along the part line using a natural sectioning method. This technique amplified volume at the crown, achieving a taller and squarer appearance to create the desired edgy look. Silver prong clips or finger-pinching were strategically employed at the part line to enhance volume precisely at the root.
Aveda texture tonic was the star product backstage, sprayed throughout the hair's interior and lightly on the ends with a top-to-bottom application method. This ensured the preservation and accentuation of the hair's natural texture, avoiding the creation of unwanted volume. Chunky, textured strands were deftly pulled out, creating the illusion of expanding exterior pieces while maintaining a tight and cool overall aesthetic.
For ponytails, a similar prep method was executed, with jumbo rubber bands securing them low and allowing a subtle peek of hair behind the ears. Loose strands were thoughtfully pulled out from the ponytails, bestowing an effortlessly undone finish.
The look was impeccably sealed with Aveda air control™ light hold hair spray providing a matte finish and ensuring the hair remained perfectly in place throughout the show.
