Bridal Hair Trends for Spring/Summer 2017

Share

Charlotte Hanson, wedding hair specialist at S J Forbes, reveals her top three bridal hair trends for spring/summer 2017.

Looped ponytail

Models strutted the bridal runway at Naeem Khan with hair styled in a structural twist that added plenty of drama to the designer’s stunning bridal gowns. Hair was slicked back, smooth and tight, pulled in to a centre parting and the ponytail tucked neatly in to a loop. The look was fresh, chic and oh-so now.

Tie the knot

At Carolina Herrera, topknots were anything but taut. The models were styled with loose, face framing up-dos that were carefree, extremely romantic and effortless.

Braided Bun

A key bridal hair trend this season, and one that translates so well from runway to aisle, is the braided bun. At Erdem, hair was pulled roughly in to a low ponytail that had been plaited in various sizes and directions and then styled into a bun. This look is perfect for a modern, non-conventional bride.
