Chloé SS21 X ghd

Yesterday in Paris, Chloé presented their new Spring / Summer 2021 collection in an outdoor runway at the Palais de Tokyo, which was set up and designed to reflect real-life and everyday encounters.

The models were all required to get their own way to the show; as they flitted through the streets of Paris and stopped on corners for a chat and a cigarette, this was all livestreamed to the audience in Palais de Tokyo. This concept bought the always-on-the-go Chloé girl to life and created a laid back and relaxed atmosphere.

Guido Palau created “very cool girl, wet textured hair” in partnership with ghd to complement the laid-back look - using the ghd helios hairdryer and diffuser to create definition and texture.

The look at Chloé was super cool girl hair which had a sort of wet, surfy texture to it, making it seem a little bit damp. The wet look hair was quite close to the head and then ends were loose and textured. - Guido

I prepped the hair and then I half dried it using the ghd helios hairdryer and the ghd diffuser attachment. I left the other half to dry naturally to create texture.

For this look the diffuser and helios hairdryer were key for achieving the cool girl look and the natural texture.

The ghd helios hairdryer can be used to help style in different ways. If I over dried the hair for this look with the hairdryer it would become a totally different texture and style. Leaving it half dried created this very cool, surfy look, which is easy to recreate at home.
