Amber Le Bon

My favourite classic side swept vintage wave look of the night! The variety of shades from chocolate through to caramel and gold keeps this style young, but the classic high-gloss tonged curls add sophistication.

Blow dry the hair with a focus on preserving its condition and shine by making it as speedy as possible and by locking in moisture. My Infrared PRO Hairdryer dries from the inside out and delivers both. Side part the hair before brushing it over with a paddle brush in long root to end strokes so as not to disturb the follicle unnecessarily – it's the best way to preserve the shine and gloss in the finish.

Place large barrel tongs from just below the ear, pinning each section as you go. Take down just prior to leaving and gently rake (not brush) through with your fingers. To finish, and to avoid applying too much, spray hairspray into a space and walk into it rather than apply directly to the hair.

Rochelle Humes

This Saturday is looking her Sunday (hair) best – high shine, mixed heritage sleek straight styling that's straight off the catwalk. The cleverly placed variations on chocolate and caramel hues keep this fresh, and the condition of the hair shows in the finish too.

Ensure that when straightening, and this style is all about the correct use of the straightener, that the shine isn't lost in the process. Either opt for a heat protection spray with added shine, or build in shine and protect the hair as you go via your choice of heated styler. My Treat & Style's Keratin Capsule function will infuse a shot of keratin as it straightens root to end, locking in the shine.

Millie Mackintosh

A high-shine and sleek crown positioned pony from Millie that totally speaks to her dress choice and to the runway. Its slicked back high interpretation adds the drama to an essentially simple style for which a flawless, no wisp/flyaway finish is the key.

Once dry, add a little hydrating product before brushing the hair up and securing at the crown, separating a section to cover the join by carefully wrapping around and pinning on the underside of the pony.

Sophie Ellis Bextor

I love this braided Up-do, with just the right mix of occasion and nonchalance where edge meets glamour beautifully. Plus, Sophie's hair is in such great condition here, so the high shine achieved really rounds off the look.

Take two sections from the middle, one on each side, and plait very loosely. Bring the sections up to meet the 'Heidi' style in the middle, and gently tease out wisps in the braids to keep that playful edge rather than an austere finish. Pin sections around the braid - through the back upwards - to give a little height from the back, before running a straightener quickly through each front section and each side of the centre parting.

Laura Whitmore

Lately this lady nails every red carpet moment! I love this loose, large wave, peek-a-boo faux fringe created by the soft side parting, and the rock 'n' roll nod delivered by the roots.

Stunning, young and fresh, but glam enough for the red carpet. The key to this look? Condition, and condition some more! A pre-event mask routine is a must.
