Your December calendar might not be filled with parties this year but get into the festive mood with ghd Global Ambassador, Adam Reed’s five days of festive hair plan, even if it is only your colleagues (and your Instagram followers) that will appreciate the effort.
This plan does not require any hair washing, just styling – so if a last-minute late night occurs, you can still look fresh the next morning by following this plan.
Day One: The Glossy Blow-dry
Set the foundation for the week ahead with the perfect glossy blow-dry. Use the ghd helios professional hairdryer (£159) for the perfect at-home blow-dry which will give you 30% more shine due to its Aeroprecis™ technology and contoured nozzle which enables for ultimate precision when styling.
Day Two: Glamorous Waves
Add loose waves by tonging sections of hair using the ghd curve soft curl tong (£129). Wrap your hair around the tong, facing away from the face, then massage the roots and brush through the curls using your fingers for an un-done textured style. Finish the look by misting the ghd final shine spray (£10.95) to create an overall glossy shine and eliminate any static.
Day Three: Textured Pony
Your hair might start to look flat now. Revive it by creating texture and volume. Spritz the roots with ghd root lift spray (£14.50) and add instant volume using the NEW ghd rise hot brush (£169). Gather hair into a mid-rise pony and tie with a ribbon for a subtle but impactful embellishment.
Day Four: Chunky Braid
Disguise greasy hair by creating a simple chunky braid. Spritz the hair with dry shampoo before styling and then brush it through using the ghd paddle brush (£21.95) as this will help absorb any excess oils and add texture. Smooth out the front sections of the hair using the ghd platinum+ styler (£189) and then tuck it behind ears and finish off by adding a statement clip to the side of the head.
Day Five: Glitzy Turban
Glitzy turbans are a big statement this season and a great way to accessorise any hairstyle. This look is all about the mid-lengths and ends of the hair as the roots will be hidden. Use the ghd soft curl tong (£129) to create loose boho waves in the lengths of hair. Finish the look by spritzing with ghd final fix hairspray (£10.95).
