Frank & Oak SS15 NYFW with Session Stylist Matthew Curtis

Share

Celebrity and runway stylist, Matthew Curtis created the look for Frank & Oak’s Spring/Summer 2015 menswear presentation for New York Fashion Week. The look was made to feel natural but controlled.

Below is Matthew’s hair report, which includes a step-by-step on how to recreate the look.

Hair Inspiration

The look was made to feel natural but controlled. Hair was pushed to the side to look like the style had slightly grown out.

Volumising mousse, texture crème and a finishing hairspray to set the look

Step By Step:
  • Dampen down the hair and apply a volumising mousse, blow dry using fingers for a smooth texture.
  • Work the hair to create a swept back, but effortless look, letting longer pieces of the hair from the top of the head fall over the sides. Allow the fringe to flop forward naturally.
  • Apply texture crème to the finger tips and run through the hair from front to back, to enhance the look and give hold.
  • Finish with a finishing hairspray; this gives extra hold but keeps the hair looking soft.
