Grey and Proud

Share

Grey is no longer something to hide, in fact it is quite the opposite. Inspired by the catwalk, celebrities and the plethora of ‘silver selfies’, women and men of all ages have been embracing the grey hair trend.

Tracy Hayes, Global Head of Technical Training at Fudge Professional comments,

Bright colours, and more recently pastels, have been so popular over the last few years, especially working over bleached ends, that the grey trend is a reaction to be totally different and make a strong street style statement by removing all colour. It’s such a versatile colour; you can play with the grey tones to achieve anything from deep graphite grey to more pale smoky greys. Is it for everyone? Attitude and confidence I believe is a must, but this is a colour that looks great equally on both men and women.

Jo Caswell, Fudge Professional Salon Owner, Mutiny Hair Salon comments,

The grey look has impacted on the salon in a big way – it’s both a stylish and on trend option for older and younger women alike. It can actually make a woman look softer and younger when done the right way. Guys also are partaking in the look with a number of our male clients having slices of silver added in quiffs and on the sides of their hair line.
