Lee Stafford’s Met Trend... Power Ponytails

Share

The fashionistas were out in full force on Monday night for the legendary Met Ball 2016, and there was one hair trend that stood out... the power ponytail.

Award-winning hairdresser Lee Stafford says,

The Power Ponytail isn't just any ordinary ponytail. This look has height, it's slick and provides instant impact. To recreate this look start by straightening your hair with my ARGANOIL® from Morocco Straighten and Nourish Irons (£39.99, from Argos). This will create the poker straight and sleek base you need. Next, tip your head upside down and using a comb, brush your hair into a high ponytail that sits above the crown of your head and tie in place with a snag free band.

Then taking a small piece of hair from the underside of the pony, wrap it around to cover the band and secure with Kirby grips. Finish off by applying a pea sized amount of my Poker Straight Shine Serum (£7.99, from Boots) to the lengths of your ponytail and use any remaining product to slick back any flyaways along your hairline for that super sleek finish.

It's that easy to create this red carpet look!
