London Fashion Week with Maria Kovacs

Super stylist, Maria Kovacs has been busy styling up a storm during London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 22 – supported by Schwarzkopf Professional, Authentic Beauty Concept, and INDOLA Exclusively Professional.

MARK FAST

Be hot when you’re cool! The Mark Fast show was a mixture of urban chic and demi couture knitwear! Hair and makeup were a nod to the ‘the 90’s IT Girl’! Hair was straight with an attitude and shine. Girls with curls we kept big and bold, and the boys were naturally cool and groomed for an undone look.

LOOK #1: 90’s IT Girl

1. Create a middle parting.
2. Before blow-drying, spray each section with OSiS+ Volumising Mousse.
3. Using your favourite round brush, blow-dry the hair straight, section by section, moving up the head.
4. Take horizontal sections and use your flat iron to create a super straight finish. Spray each section with OSiS+ Super Dry Flex Hairspray.
5. Spray the hair with OSiS+ Sparkler Shine spray.

LOOK #2: 90’s IT Girl with Curls

For high voltage shine on your curl and texture, spray hair with OSiS+ Sparkler Shine.

Hot tip…

• To turn up the shine, apply OSiS+ Sparkler Shine to dry hair.
• To turn down the shine, apply OSiS+ Sparkler Shine onto wet hair before diffusing.

The Anna Mason collection was inspired by impressionist paintings with floral prints. Dreamy romantic dresses with renaissance braids and soft tresses!

LOOK #1: The Renaissance Braid

The Blow Dry

1. On towel-dried hair, create a middle parting.
2. To create a smooth finish, apply Authentic Beauty Concept Flawless Primer from mid-lengths to ends.
3. Blow-dry each section smooth using your favourite round brush, working up the head.
4. To lock in the texture, spray the hair with Authentic Beauty Concept Working Hairspray.

The Braid

1. Create a middle parting.
2. Separate the hair into two equal sections: SIDE 1 – brush the hair flat and gather it into a small ponytail just behind the ear. Braid the hair from behind the hair to the ends of the hair and secure with elastic.
3. Repeat on the other side (SIDE 2).
4. To lock in the shape, spray the hair with Authentic Beauty Concept Working Hairspray.                 

LOOK #2: Romantic Movement

1. To wake up our beautiful curl onto damp hair, apply Authentic Beauty Concept Shaping Cream from mid-lengths to ends.
2. Take random sections of hair and loosely twist, allowing the curl to loosen.
3. Gently diffuse dry.
4. To finish the hair and create shine, apply Authentic Beauty Concept Indulging Fluid Oil and work into the hair with your hands to create the desired texture.
5. To lock in the shape, spray the hair with Authentic Beauty Concept Working Hairspray

The hair was styled to reflect effortless elegance with natural movement, perfectly complimenting the collection, which included opulent fabrics, rich colours, and classic shapes with a modern edge.

1. Take a middle parting.
2. Starting from the nape, take a large section and spray with INDOLA Setting and Volume Spray from roots to tips. Blow-dry the section smooth with your favourite round brush and roll up into a large curl. Secure with a silver clip.
3. Once the section is pinned into place, spray lightly with INDOLA Flexible hairspray.
4. Continue the same technique all the way up the head.
5. Allow the hair to cool and gently remove clips.
6. Gently brush the hair into the desired shape, using your fingers to create soft movement.
7. Lock in the shape with INDOLA Finish Flexible hairspray.

LOOK #1: Textured Pony

The Blow Dry

1. On towel-dried hair create a middle parting.
2. To create a smooth finish, apply INDOLA Setting, Volume and Blow-dry Spray
3. Blow-dry each section smooth using your favourite round brush, working up the head.
4. To create a touchable finish, apply a small amount of INDOLA Finish and Smooth Serum from mid-lengths to ends.

The Pony

1. Brush the hair into your hands holding at the nape, then loop the ends of the hair up towards the base of the pony, allowing some hair to fall away.
2. Secure the hair with elastic.
3. For a soft textured finish, gently separate random hair around the face and nape.
4. To lock in the shape, lightly spray the hair with INDOLA Flexible Finish Hairspray.

LOOK #2: Cool Girl Texture

1. To create a cool girl texture on damp hair, apply INDOLA Setting Curl Cream from mid-lengths to end.
2. Take random sections of hair and loosely twist, allowing the curl to loosen.
3. Gently diffuse dry.
4. For a cool-girl finish, apply INDOLA Finish and Smooth Serum and work into the hair with your hands to create the desired texture.
