Make 2018 Your Best Hair Year Ever

Share

As we battle to fight the January blues, taking some simple steps as recommended by the professionals can make for happier hair!

Forget good hair days, you can enjoy a good hair year if you follow some simple advice from Good Salon Guide members.

Top of the list for all member salons we approached was booking in for regular salon visits.

Lorna Griffin and Sophie White from Simon Webster Hair recommend booking your hair appointments ahead of time to ensure you keep to a regular schedule. This will improve the health of your hair. To help with booking those all important hair appointments, use Good Salon Guide’s easy and efficient online booking facility.

When it comes to products, those recommended by your stylist will work best! Anne Veck of Anne Veck Hair Salons believes clients should always be willing to try new products.

Anne also advises against hoarding old products that could be past their best. If you haven’t used a product in a while, chuck it out and build up a small collection of quality products that really work for your hair.

The Simon Webster team are advocates of massaging the scalp! Say yes to a head massage in-salon and, at home, salon owner Jane Wickens of Number 40 salon in Chichester recommends using a deep treatment, which will moisturise and add shine to lack lustre hair.

Love using heated tools? Salon owner and Label M ambassador, Karoliina Saunders of Karoliina Saunders HD suggests trying to use them less in 2018. And, when you are using heated styling tools; always use a heat protection spray.

And, finally, a piece of advice from the award-winning Anne Veck, which we absolutely love!

Be more daring in 2018. If you’ve seen a colour or a cut that you love, but you’re too afraid to try it, then now is the time! The new year is the time to try new things and see what you’re capable of; you never know where this new daring attitude could take you!
