Olympic Style

Share

With the Rio Olympics kicking off this Friday we thought we would bring you some style inspiration to get you in the sporting mood!

The high bun

A gymnast favourite, obviously more for safety reasons, the high bun keeps hair off the neck and out of your face, allowing your gorgeous features to show. The versatile high bun not only works for Olympic athletes, it also works well for a tough workout session, a long day in the office or a girl’s night out.

The ponytail

Simple and sleek ponytails are on-trend this season. Whether you wear it high or low, this casual style can be taken easily from day to night or the track and field if you prefer.

Braided bangs

Keep flyaways and fringes off your face by creating a simple braid from the tip of your forehead to the top of your ear. This will keep hair out of your eyes so you can focus on the track ahead.

Double braid

Braids - easy, chic and a very popular trend. French braids and cornrows are where it’s at this summer, and a style very popular amongst athletes. A good braid is easy, fuss-free, and you can kind of forget about them for a while, allowing you to concentrate on winning that gold!

Accessorize

Visors and headbands are a great way to accessorize your sporting outfit. They are perfect for when you need to keep your hair off your face or the sun out of your eyes. Pair with a sleek ponytail for the ultimate Olympic look.
