Pinterest Launch New Bridal Trend Report

The Annual Pinterest Wedding trends Report has unveiled trends that will set the tone for weddings in 2025.

With colourful modern aesthetics and hyper-personal touches, there’s something for everyone. With more than 3.8 billion wedding related searches and more than 13.4 billion wedding ideas saved globally in one year on Pinterest, the latest report offers inspiration for everyone.

Key trends for the year ahead include brown as the emerging colour for weddings, to a rise in registry office ceremonies and nature-inspired glam.

David Corbett from David Corbett Hairdressing in Glasgow says brides are asking for more nature-inspired styling, with clean lines and neutral colour palettes combined with a nostalgic nod to the past. Vintage styling is still popular, but brides are wanting a more personalised look. Brides are embracing their natural textures, looking for styles that enhance rather than hide their real hair. Romantic low buns with loose tendrils, messy updos, sleek low ponytails and half-up, half-down styles are the styles for 2025.

Harry Andreou from TONI&GUY Winchester isn’t surprised as he is already seeing the trends in his styling chair. “A lot of what’s showing up in the Pinterest report reflects what I’m already seeing with brides in the chair. There’s been a definite shift away from super structured, overly polished looks,” he says. “People are leaning into softer, more effortless styling. Brides want to feel like themselves, just a slightly elevated version, which is why the natural glam vibe makes total sense. It’s less about chasing trends now and more about enhancing the person in front of you.”

Carol Ritchie from Carol Ritchie Bespoke Hair in Portsmouth agrees. “There’s definitely been a noticeable shift towards unique, personalised weddings lately. Couples are moving away from traditional themes and want to express their individuality. So, it makes perfect sense that we’re seeing a rise in floral and foliage elements! Flowers and greenery can add such a beautiful, natural touch to bridal hairstyles. Styles that work really well include loose, romantic waves where you can tuck in some blooms, or delicate updos that are adorned with small flowers. Half-up hairstyles are also a fantastic option, allowing the floral accents to really shine.”

Harry adds: “Brown comes on the back of this year’s Pantone Colour of the Year Mocha Mousse, with its inviting mocha palette and earthy shades perfect for hair, make-up and general ambience.

“The natural-inspired glam trend is all about softness and movement Think undone buns, loose waves, and texture that doesn’t look too ‘done’. Styles that have a bit of flow or a lived-in feel are perfect. It’s about finding that sweet spot where the hair looks styled but not stiff.”

Harry’s hair hacks for natural, beautiful bridal styles for 2025:

  • Prepping the hair properly is everything! Don’t underestimate a good blow-dry with the right products. I always start with a volumising mousse at the root like LABEL.M’s Volumising Mouse or L’Oreal Professionnel’s Flexi Pli and something smoothing through the ends like Indola’s Thermal protect.
  • Texture sprays are great for grip if you’re working with fine hair, especially if you want that soft, boho feel without it falling flat.
  • Avoid overloading the hair with product! Too much can weigh it down and take away the natural finish.
  • A flexible hold hairspray is your best friend for setting the style without freezing it.
  • I always advise brides to wash their hair the day before rather than the day of. A bit of lived-in texture really helps the style hold.

Carol’s tips for wearing flowers and foliage in the hair:

  • Choose fresh flowers that complement the bride’s bouquet and the overall wedding colour scheme.
  • Smaller blooms are great for a delicate look, while larger flowers can weigh the hair down.
  • Use bobby pins or small hair clips to secure them in place so they stay put throughout the day.
  • A good hairspray can help keep both the hairstyle and floral accents stable.
  • It’s always a good idea to make sure the chosen flowers work well with the hairstyle before the big day.
