Take Care of your Blonde Hair with Bumble and Bumble

With the launch of Bb.Illuminated Blonde, we caught up with Bumble and bumble lead stylist Collette McGee on how to care for your blonde hair.

Blonde remains the most requested colour in salons, but it does need regular care and maintenance as it can easily turn dry, brassy, dull or gain unwanted tones.

CHOOSE GENTLE HAIRCARE

From platinum to honey, the key to caring for blonde hair is choosing the right haircare regime that is specifically designed for maintaining and protecting your colour. TRY ROTATIONAL THERAPY

CHECK YOUR WATER

If you live in an area with harsh, hard water you may find blonde fades quickly – my advice to clients is to invest in a new shower head to soften and purify the water. This, in combination with the Illuminated Blonde range, will help keep blonde vibrant longer and keep tones true.

PRE-BRUSH

If hair isn’t naturally blonde it can be more prone to breakage. Brush your hair before washing (especially curly types) to create less friction, knots, and breakage. Remember squeeze dry, don’t rub, and give blonde a heat holiday by choosing to air dry every other wash!
