British Hairdressing Awards

The British Hairdressing Awards were set up to reward hairdressers who were pushing the boundaries of hairdressing, creating and setting the trends in this competitive industry. There are nine regional categories that cover all areas of the UK, six specialist categories that incorporate a variety of disciplines including Afro, Men's and Avant-Garde, and the most prestigious award — British Hairdresser of the Year, which is recognised throughout the world.

Good Salon Guide salons regularly come out on top at the British Hairdressing Awards; in 2008 alone there were 40 Good Salon Guide finalists in the sixteen categories - four of which were nominations for the high-status British Hairdresser of the Year title. This title has been held a whopping 16 times by hairdressers from Good Salon Guide recognised salons since its launch in 1985.
