Hey,
I am a natural brunette and I dye my hair an all over colour in my natural colour, but I have noticed that when I stand in bright light or the sun, my hair looks very red! I did a quick Google search and found that blue shampoo can combat this red. Is this true? Could I use this to help banish the red tone, or am I best going to a salon?
Thank you,
Sianna, Cardiff
Hi Sianna,
Blue shampoo is great for neutralizing warm tones in colour to give a cool finish but do remember this is only temporary. To combat the red undertone long term, the colour used must be changed. Go to your local salon and ask for a cool/ash brunette to achieve your desired look.
