What a Great Team!

I’ve had my hair done through a friend for several years, but circumstances changed and I had to source a local hair salon in St Albans and I chose Clipso, because of Clipso’s reputation, also being around for nearly 40 years, so with all the expertise, experience and knowledge of a great hair salon I knew I couldn’t go wrong as I am so fussy when it comes to my hair. And what a great choice I made! Simon has a fabulous team working for him at Clipso - I felt at home as soon as I walked through the door after talking to Dawn on Reception. Charlotte is amazing giving sound advice and experience in the colour we choose to suit my skin and personality and Simon took the time to chat to me about how I would like my hair from cut through to the finish. I love it every time - professional friendly team who can’t do enough for their clients, always going the extra mile - would I recommend Clipso, St Albans….. Most definitely!

Fabulous service

I switched to Clipso on recommendation when my hairdresser went on maternity leave. Sofia has cut my hair twice now and this week my colour. She really listened to want I wanted , she doesn't make unrealistic promises and she delivers fantastic results. I am so pleased with the cut and the colour and cannot recommend her highly enough She opened up new ideas to me and I am looking forward to more ideas she has for my hair!!

Professional and very accommodating with a recently broken elbow!

I had a serious accident falling and breaking my arm and elbow two weeks before my best friends wedding. Unable to wash my own hair, I knew it needed tidying up to make it more manageable. Clipso were able to give me an appointment with a graduate stylist, making it affordable at short notice. They were great, careful with my hair and patient dealing with all the knots and tangles! They offered me two coffees, gave me water as it was my first outing since hospital. I felt in great hands and left with a lovely cut and blow dry. Perfect!

I went to this Salon for the first time and had a classic french bob restyle from long straight hair. Simon really went above and beyond, making sure I was more than happy with the haircut and tailored it to compliment my face shape. Thank you !

Brilliant!

I saw Lauren for colour and Simon for my cut. Both did exactly what I asked for and I left feeling very pleased with my darker colour and fantastic cut. However, after a few days I realised that I'd made a mistake and I wanted to be blonder again. They told me to come in and they would rectify. I saw Lauren again and was embarrassed that I had made the mistake but both she and Simon put me at ease and she did my colour perfectly and at no cost. They made me feel that they really cared that I was happy. Terrific and skilful hairdressers and I will definitely be back!

Fantastic salon!

I have tried a few salons in my life and I have rarely been this happy with the result. I recently moved to St Albans and had once again to change my salon and I am so glad I did! I always end up with the same hair cut because I never know what to ask for and what would suit me. Simon was extremely friendly and helpful, he suggested a haircut then he showed me how to style my hair, and it looks absolutely brilliant ! He also advised on hair color and what I could go for . I went back a week later for highlights and again the result was amazing ! I love it ! It makes such a huge difference to see they take great care of their clients from start to finish, making the whole experience more personal and special ! Thank you Clipso

Wonderfully brilliant

About to go into Chemotherapy I panicked about what to do with the impending hair loss. I had very long hair. I read about a woman that went to Simon at Clipson and how he cut her hair so beautifully and all throughout her Chemotherapy, and for free. I plucked up the courage and went and saw him. What should have been a very emotional time for me, turned into laughter and light. He is full of compassion, kindness and so well organised. I was taken upstairs, out of the public eye which immediately eased my anxiety. We chatted about life and simple things. He was cutting my locks to save them in order for me to have them made into a hair piece. I was completely amazed at the initial short cut he gave me. The first words out of my 4 year sons mouth were, I love it! Those were the only tears I cried. From then on I went from complement to complement and will never go back to long hair again. He styled it so well. Simon offered to see me throughout my therapy until my hair was at a point that I could manage it alone. His team are friendly and kind. I would highly recommend Simon. Thank you Simon and Clipson, for making a really difficult time that much easier.

The best salon I have ever visited

I found Clipso, St Albans via the Good Salon Guide and with very favorable reviews about the staff, and in need of a good cut and colour, thought that I would give them a try. I couldn't have been more impressed. Everyone I met was friendly and welcoming and made me feel relaxed and confident in their abilities. Simon cut my hair. I was a bit nervous at first about his suggestion that I should have some light layers cut into my shoulder length hair. I had taken me two years to grow out the the heavy layers that had made my hair feel thin and flat.and really difficult to style at home. I trusted Simon's skill and judgement though and I am really pleased that I did, because my hair now looks shiny and healthy, with lots of movement and body. Simon gave me confidence that he really knew what he was doing and that I would be pleased with the result. Simon also gave me some extra help by showing me how to blow dry my hair properly and thoroughly explained the products he suggested I use at home. I was also very pleased with the Olaplex treatment and the new highlights too. I really can't recommend Clipso St Albans highly enough and will definitely return. You'll be in good hands with Simon and his team - they're great!

A few years ago I suffered from hair loss and only in the last year has it grown back so I thought I'd get my first ever hair cut. I have never had my hair cut in my life (and I am 28 years old by the way)! I live in Enfield but heard a lot about Clipso and I did my research. I read some good reviews on Miriam Cyna and decided to book my first ever hair cut with her. She was absolutely amazing and took her time with me. She gave me really good advice ok what hair cut to have and how to maintain it and tips on making it look good etc. She even spent some time with me discussing colouring my hair, which also I haven't ever done in my life. I couldn't have asked for anything better, very very happy. I even booked my first session of colouring a week later which was with Sara Stockley. She too was great and helped decide on a colour for my ombre. Must say, it was absolutely fantastic, the colour was perfect and looked lovely. With my new hair cut and colour, I felt and looked like a new woman. Clipso and the girls gave me a perfect first time experience. Will highly recommend this salon to anyone. What's more is compared to other salons in the area, this is better value for money too. Thank you very much! Very impressed

I have to agree with all the good reviews of Clipso in St Albans. It is always quite nerve-wracking on a first visit to a salon but Simon and his team put me completely at ease from the first minute. I was very pleased with the way Simon cut my hair and recommended a plan of action to correct any issues that I had struggled with in the past. He also took the time to show me how I could get a better finish at home with lots of helpful tips on blow drying!I will definitely be going back.

I am quick to move from Salon to Salon as I find it hard to find a hairdresser who really understands and can work with my hair. I booked in with Simon after reading these reviews. Fantastic

For once I walked out of a hair salon smiling. I'm not one who enjoys visiting the hairdressers but today that has changed. Simon and his staff were very welcoming and friendly and I walked out with the best hair cut in years. I shall definitely be going back. Having being diagnosed with breast cancer in December and having undergone weeks of radio-therapy, there were times when I felt very low. However since my friend Landy suggested I pop in and see you, coping with the stress has been greatly eased and I have found much comfort in coming in being pampered by you and the team. Nothing has been too much trouble and I will never forget that you got me through some of the most difficult weeks of my life, especially as I found my appointments very therapeutic. So I'd like to extend my gratitude to you and everyone in Clipso for the way you've all helped me on my journey back to recovery.

Fear of Hairdressers

I have just managed to sit for 2 hours in clipso st albans and came out with a smile ....the last time I did this was 20 odd years ago . Really relaxing , and did exactly what i asked to be done . Really really please thank you :)

First Class Result : Changing hair colour from very dark to slightly less dark !

I know - unusual, right ? I've been a customer here for nearly two years and in that time, my hair has been so well cut, creatively coloured and beautifully cared for that I now feel it really is my crowning glory. Yesterday I put myself (and my locks) in the very capable hands of Sarah and Demi and they were so professional, skilful and thorough, discussing with me all the options, reassuring me that the procedures were safe, effective and would add the depth and texture I wanted in my new colour without any compromise on condition or vibrancy. Didn't get the full effect until this morning because with these dark nights and days its hard to see the result; in the sunlight today, my hair looks amazing - medium brown with tiny strands of a lighter colour threaded through that looks so natural, subtle and yet gives my hair that gorgeous shine and texture. So I would say, I trust Clipso to give me a great result every time and to put the condition and health of my hair at the forefront of their recommendations. Helen Stone

A new style

I have tried 3 different hairdressers in St Albans and Clipso is the first place I have felt they know what they are doing! (no offence meant to the other salons in St Albans but I resent paying over £50 for a trim that takes 10 minutes and that is it, no advice, no real care.) Sam has a huge amount of knowledge and skill in cutting and styling and gave me the confidence in having a completely new style. He took me through everything step by step but didn't push me into anything. He even gave me advice on colouring my hair. After he'd cut it he showed me exactly how dry it: which brush to use which products etc. I felt very pampered and confident that my hair was going to look great when he'd finished. The staff make you feel very welcome and all look fantastic themselves which I think also give you confidence! The only thing I would say and it isn't a criticism, more a suggestion: I am used to a nice firm shampoo and a mini scalp massage from the Aveda salon I used to go to. That would be the cherry on the cake if that was included. :)) Just a small thing. Other than that my whole experience was perfect and I will definitely be returning. Thank you Clipso!

Having to have chemo isn't the most wonderful thing to hear and losing your hair is amazingly difficult (I didn't think I was that vain). My daughter always said how brilliant they were at Clipso (she goes there) and then learnt that they work with people undergoing hair loss. I went worried and came out feeling positive about my future hair care and with a wonderful pre-full loss hair cut by Simon. The follow up, when my hair had virtually all gone to have my hair shaved off, was the worst moment but it was made so painless due to Simon's care, attention and knowledge. He made me feel relaxed about it all. The room used upstairs means it is very private aswell. Deciding on a wig was so easy given the advice, care and attention to detail. The wig was perfect and Simon has the skills to cut it a little to make sure the style is perfect for you. The whole process has given me so much confidence in the future care of my hair that I can't recommend Simon and the whole salon enough. Many thanks to Simon and his team. Anthea

Impressed!

Was recommended to the salon and indeed simon by a friend. My hair was over processed, extremely dry and breaking off. Veronica was excellent in understanding my needs regarding the colour and simon restyled my hair perfectly. customers are important to this salon and they give you the time needed. I was impressed!

Excellent customer care

I visit St.Albans regularly for business and was suddenly desperate for a good hair cut / restyle. It was my first visit to Clipso and Simon took care of my needs with the utmost professionalism. He listened to my hair woes, and made very good suggestions and gave me guidance on looking after my hair at home. I was very pleased with his cut and colour advice and will make an appointment when I am next in St.Albans, just wish I lived nearer!

Absolutely Fantastic!

I am a regular customer to Clipso with Simon being my usual hair expert. I went into Clipso to go for a drastic change from my usual styling and opted for extensions. Laura was my consultant who was fantastic. She talked me thought the process of hair extensions and I had a thorough run through what to expect and the aftercare process. I was sold and was booked in a few days later for the fitting. The process was relaxing and Laura was very informative of each step she conducted and the end product was incredible! I walked out the salon feeling a million dollars and would recommend Clipso to all family and friends for expert styling, extensions and aftercare advice.

Excellent Start

I had my first appointment with Simon yesterday. I had been feeling dissatisfied with my hair and wanted a change. I read the reviews of Clipso so decided to give it a go. I was very pleased with the results. Simon really took time to understand what I wanted and gave me loads of useful tips. I feel as I've had a makeover and will definitely be making him my regular hairdresser.

Such a well run salon!

The manager, Simon at Clipso, is such an organised and professional manager, that it has always been a pleasure to get my hair highlighted and cut every 8 weeks! I find all the staff in the salon warm and welcoming and my hair is always coloured the way I ask it be by Tom....perfection! Clipso St Albans deserves to win an award for its excellent customer service and customer care/hair care. I have been coming to Clipso St Albans for around 15 years. Wonderfully run Salon!!!

Fantastic!!

I have been coming to Clipso for almost 5 years now and the standard never drops! Everyone in the salon is friendly and takes the time to remember what you had at your last appointment and give you very skilled advice. The whole team do a very good job and Clipso is an extremely warm and well run salon. I highly recommend to everyone!

I decided to try a new hairdresser as I felt my style and advice given at the place I had been attending had become stale. I requested a senior stylist to help advice me afresh, and wasn't disappointed. I received excellent advice and service and was very happy with the results. Also I loved that the young lady washing my hair asked if I would like a head massage first! This is usually done robot fashion I find in other places with little communication. I am looking forward to getting my colour revived a bit next time! A very professional and well run salon with well motivated staff with good attention to detail, making for a very pleasant experience.

TOTAL 5 STAR SERVICE!!!

I am among the many ladies who have to go through the unfortunate process of losing then growing your hair back after chemo. I would like to say a great big thanks to Simon and his team. Simon is very understanding and knowledgable about chemo hair, as whilst its growing back it needs regular cutting to get it to a good condition. Which can be very frustrating!! But after listening to Simons advice and persevering my hair now is in great condition. Having a new style and colour to add to that its a brilliant confidence booster. I would highly recommended anyone to go.!!!!!

Feeling Amazing

I came in clipso salon in St.Albans to change my hair colour from being very bleached blonde to more my natural colour. I was was very unhappy with my hair but Sara put me at ease straight away and made me feel confident that we could sort the colour out and bring it back to good condition. I felt I was in very good hands and she was very confident of her ability which I really liked, the end result of my colour was brilliant I was so happy with my colour and felt very happy and confident about myself again. Thank you Sara I shall be back. Lisa cut my hair and made me feel at ease straight away and had cut my hair beautiful,I was happy for my hair to be cut where it needed and and the end result was amazing. Confidence Boost!

I went to see Simon at Clipso as I'd read he's got a great deal of experience of working wonders with ladies who were dealing with the effects of chemotherapy on their hair. I'm part way through treatment & my thinning hair didn't look great, but Simon worked wonders with it! I cannot praise his hairdressing & people skills too highly. He took me to a quiet location so our conversation wasn't overheard & spent time explaining what he thought would work for me. I came out transformed & feeling a million dollars. I'm thrilled & am a total convert to this salon.

Superb Salon

I visited Clipso in St Albans for the first time with my daughter in August and was so impressed with Simon and his team that I returned myself to let him work his magic on my hair. This is no ordinary salon. From the moment you walk through the door you are warmly greeted and treated like a VIP. Nothing is too much trouble. The great online offer for first time customers is supplemented by a pack of further discounts for repeat visits. The quality of products, cut and styling are superb. I have been really impressed with the whole experience and will be returning.

Thoroughly Recommend

I have been a customer at Clipso in St. Albans for three years and have found the salon to be excellent. time for a change..

..over the years I've visited so many hairdressers in Hertfordshire and they've all left me feeling dissatisfied and ripped off! Yesterday I visited Clipso after reading about them online. The atmosphere in the salon is relaxed and friendly. I felt like a drastic change of style after having the same old bob for 30 years (!) so put my trust in Lisa who made me feel at ease, took the time and care to talk through my options and gave me the confidence to go for the chop! I must say she has done a fabulous job. I've been greeted by many 'wows!!' at work this morning! I'm so pleased I've made a return appointment for cut and colour next month!

Great hair cut !

Fantastic cut and experience at Clipso in St Albans. From the moment I entered the salon I met with a friendly welcome and totally put at ease. My stylist Simon talked me through some options with my hair and from there I felt relaxed. I had a great head massage whilst having my hair wash which was fab! Little things like that really make a salon. Simon talked me through each stage of my hair cut and demonstrated how to style it myself later. Given it was my first solo day out since having my baby this was a perfect place to start my pamper fest. I love my new hair cut and from the reaction of my friends and hubby they do too. Superb experience

At last, a stylist who listens to what you like/ dislike, delivers an excellent cut and also offers a re-style/ trouble shoot within 2 weeks if there are any difficulties. The most important thing is the cut, which is the best I have had.

Problem Solved

Ever wondered where to go to get a great hair cut in St. Albans ?. Clipso is that place. Yet again I had a wonderful experience there today. From the minute that you walk through the door you know that you are in palace that values it's customers. There is a great team feel to this place and you know that Lorine who washed my hair is as valued a member of it,as Sara who coloured it and Simon who cut it! Lorine was just fab and so warm. Sara just gets colour and with the eye of an expert colourist left me with a colour I loved . Simon cut my hair and really showed the artistry involved in professional hairdressing! It's a great place. I can't recommend it highly enough and this from someone who used to fly to Dublin to get a hair cut because until I found Clipso I didn't think anyone in St Albans could do a good enough job!! Fabulous

I used to have my hair cut at Clipso some time ago and was always delighted with my experience there. Now when I visit the area I treat myself to a haircut and they are still just as welcoming and highly skilled. Lisa is a fabulous stylist, she knows how best to cut and style my thick, rather unruly hair. This is the only salon I have ever visited where I feel truly relaxed and confident in their abilities dealing with my hair! I can not recommend them highly enough.

Excellent cut

I am very pleased with my hair following my recent visit to Clipso. Simon was my stylist and he cut my hair with great expertise. The style was exactly what I was hoping for - easy to manage and falls perfectly into place without needing to spend a lot of time on it, yet can easily be glammed up for an evening out. My hair is the most comfortable it has felt in years, which has really boosted my morale. So all in all I am very happy and would definitely recommend Clipso and Simon.

A cut above

Last year I was unfortunate enough to have joined the ranks of women who have undergone chemotherapy, but my meeting of Simon and his staff at Clipso made it all that little bit easier. The hair loss is often the most difficult part of the journey and my usual hairdresser unfortunately proved disappointing in this regard, so when I met a lady whose hair looked so good having undergone the same treatment it was obvious I should use the same hairdresser. It became evident from the first meeting with Simon that he is not only professional but also incredibly compassionate at such times - not to mention an absolute genius with hair. Since then my hair has returned and tends to require lots of trimming to strengthen and stimulate its growth. Despite this I have found that no matter how small the trim, the attention to detail, professionalism and all round kindness amongst the staff is always in absolute abundance. As has been the case with my previous visits, my haircut at Clipso this week left me thrilled at how my hair has honestly never looked so good. As the saying goes something good always comes from something bad and my discovery of Clipso's exemplary service most certainly constitutes the good.

Brilliant Service !!

I read about the service offered by Clipso to ladies who have suffered hair loss due to Chemotherapy. Having gone through this ordeal I made an appointment to see Simon for help with my new wigs. His professionalism and understanding made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He is now helping me through the regrowth to get my hair back to normality. I cannot praise Simon and his staff highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this salon to others.
