Hair on the Square is a unisex salon tailored to meet a high standard of on-trend and up-coming trends for women, men and children. We emphasize the importance of hair and scalp health using backwash-based treatments on every client. We create in-salon, in-depth analysis to closely look at the needs and expectations of every client.

Our salon’s ambience is friendly and relaxed, but professional, and our aim is to make your time with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and listening to you, the client, so we constantly deliver the best solutions and most innovative suggestions.

John McClenaghan, proprietor and senior stylist, originally founded the salon in November 2015, offering more than 15 years experience in hairdressing and achieving a Master Colour Degree with Alfaparf Milano.

Hair on the Square definitely offers that little bit more in terms of service and atmosphere; but you should come and see for yourself.

Had a keratin six week straightening treatment with John yesterday. John made me feel very welcome and comfortable and explained everything throughout the treatment.Im really pleased with end result.My hair feels soft straight and very manageable. I will definitely get it done again as I have very curly hair and this treatment works for me.

Honestly I don't really feel compelled enough to actually write a review for something, but this salon has went above and beyond! Love coming to the salon, you will never leave without a laugh or a bit of craic. John and the team are absolutely fantastic, they are friendly and have great customer service. My hair was a complete DISASTER until John had fixed it up for me, the difference he had made was amazing! Fantastic service, quality products and a professional approach! Hugely recommend Hair on the Square! :)
