Basic Cutting and Confidence Building Course

Description

Delivered in 3 or more days, as required by the student, the course is an ideal way to build confidence in cutting techniques and can be tailor made to the students’ or salons’ requirements.

The classes are small to ensure each individual receives the correct amount of training according to individual needs.Telephone advice will be given to make sure the course is the right choice for you. NB: Colouring and Men’s Hairdressing/Barbering can be included in this course.

Beginners Level 2 Course

Qualification:

NVQ Level 2/Nicky Oliver Diploma/Level 2 Barbering

Duration:

Part time course – 26 weeks – 2 days per week.
Full time course – 18 weeks – 3 days per week.

Fee:
£8,750 + V.A.T. Price includes a full hairdressing kit. Finance is available. Subject to status.

Experience Required: No experience required.

We also offer an internship that you can undertake at the same time as you take this course.

Description

The Nicky Oliver Academy Beginners course is an intensive, practical course, designed to cater for students with little or no knowledge of the hairdressing profession. Delivered over 2 or 3 days each week, you will learn basic and up-to-date hairdressing skills along with the theory and technical knowledge required to become a professional stylist.

Classes are small to ensure each individual receives the correct amount of training according to their individual needs, you will be continually assessed throughout the course and will be working towards gaining your NVQ Level 2 and the Nicky Oliver Academy Diploma in Hairdressing + Level 2 Barbering.

Students must reach the minimum standards required to qualify for the Nicky Oliver diploma.

Your age and experience is immaterial, your enthusiasm, an interest in the profession and your willingness to change your career, along with our proven teaching methods, which are delivered in a relaxed and friendly environment, will ensure that you progress towards gaining your qualification.

Description

This beginners course is an intensive, practical course designed to cater for students with little or no knowledge of the hairdressing profession.

Internship

Qualification: N/A

Duration: 36 days – 2 days per week – one of these days will always be a Saturday.

Description

Work alongside the Nicky Oliver team and learn how an award-winning, professional salon operates on a daily basis. During your time with the Nicky Oliver team you will:

• Shampoo clients
• Hone your customer care skills
• Develop important salon care skills
• Perfect your customer communication skills at reception
• Shadow Nicky’s stylists
• Learn new hairdressing tips and techniques

Nicky will select candidates for this internship through an interview process. The ideal candidate will be a real team player, hardworking and happy to join in and work regular salon hours alongside Nicky’s team.

To do this part of the course you must be willing to join in and get involved in working with the team, working the same hours as everyone else.

Classic Advanced NVQ Level 3 Course

Qualification:

NVQ Level 3 Diploma/Nicky Oliver Academy Diploma/Barbering Level 2 Certificate

Duration:

Part time course – 26 weeks – 2 days per week.
Full time course – 18 weeks – 3 days per week.

Experience Required: NVQ Level 2 Diploma

Description

The Nicky Oliver NVQ Level 3 combination course is an intensive, practical course, designed to cater for students who have gained an NVQ Level 2 qualification in the hairdressing profession.

As part of the course, which is delivered over 2 or 3 days each week, your skills will be assessed and should there be any gaps in your Level 2 knowledge we will address them.

For the first half of the NVQ Level 3 course you will learn advanced and current commercial hairdressing skills, along with the theory and technical knowledge required to become a Level 3 professional stylist.

Once completed, you will move onto the next level and learn more advanced techniques. The classes are small to ensure each individual receives the correct amount to training according to individual needs.

You will be continually assessed throughout the course and will be working towards gaining your NVQ Level 3, the Nicky Oliver Academy Diploma in Hairdressing and your Barbering Level 2 certificate.

Students must reach the minimum standards required to obtain the above qualification.

The Nicky Oliver Academy Refresher course is delivered over 3 days each week, and can range from a 3 day course right up to 36 days for those people who think they require the extra updates to their skills.

Students will learn current advanced fashion techniques, update their skills and gain the confidence that is required in today’s professional hairdressing environment.

The student will be taught techniques from traditional to contemporary.The classes are small to ensure each individual receives the correct amount of training according to individual needs.Telephone advice will be given to make sure the course is the right course for you.

Duration: 8 weeks of 3 days per week.
